1. Daniel’s prophecy seems to indicate the resurrection of four powerful nations in the future. (Dan. 7)

2. Perhaps Israel suffers a defeat, and there is a Jewish captivity again.

3. Perhaps a change of leadership happens in Iran, a change which results in friendly relations with Israel. 

4. Perhaps a future Iranian leader will be the instrument that gets the Jews back into the land.

5. And perhaps a future Iranian leader is instrumental in helping get a future temple built. 

6.And if all this is true, then this future Iranian leader will eventually turn on Israel and be destroyed in the end.

Eight Priorities:

1.  Always choose salvation. (Mk. 8:36)

2. Always choose God’s kingdom over the things in this world. (Mt. 6:33)

4. Always choose the home before temporal prosperity. (Gen. 13:10-11)

1. Don’t express disappointments.
2. Especially don’t give your opinions when a) not asked and b) outside area of authority
   
3. Do not become overly defensive of your area of authority.
4. Try to not start an answer with a negative comment.
5. Allow in your mind for the other person to have a at leaast a possibility of being partially right.
6. Do not express your opinion unless you have the power and willingness to help.
7. If someone refutes your opinion, let it stop there.

Consider:

1. God’s promises are nothing without His presence!

2. Adam and Eve were the first to experience partial isolation from God.

3. Cain was the first man to experience total isolation from God’s presence.

4. Isaac is the first one of whom it is noticed that “the Lord was with him.”

5. Jacob is the first one who receives the promise of God’s presence.

6 Joseph then is the patriarch who it is said the most times, “the Lord was with him.”

7. David has much to say about the presence of the Lord.

Regarding some of the promises of His presence…

1. The promise of Immanuel - “God with us”

2. Jesus (Immanuel’s) promise to maintain that presence

3. The rapture is a promise of His presence

4. And eternity in heaven contains the promise of His presence

The greatest prophecy yet to be fulfilled is the 2nd coming of Christ. 

Matthew 24 is a sign for Israel during the tribulation.

Notice several conditions TODAY that are/should be of interest:

1. The human race now has the ability and increasing threat that we could exterminate ourselves. (v. 22)

2. A Jewish homeland established in the Middle East. (Luke 21:20)

3. The topsy-turvy rise and fall of other nations we have heard of before… (v.7)

4. A time of intensified offense. (v. 10)

5. Preparation of even more false prophets. (v. 11)

6. The abounding of iniquity. (v.12)

7. Preparation for mass preaching of the Gospel. (v.14)

7 Important Phrases:

1. The wiles of the devil
2. We wrestle
3. Not against flesh and blood
4. Against principalities
5. Against powers
6. Against the rulers of the darkness of this world
7. Against spiritual wickedness in high places

How we are to pray:

1. With your loins girt about with truth. 

2. With the breastplate of righteousness.

3. With your feet shod.

4. With faith.

5. Taking the helmet of salvation.

6. With the sword of the Spirit.

II Corinthians 10 – Thoughts that exalt themselves against Christ.

Romans 1 – The description on apostasy resembles the 18 doors of seducing spirits.

Matthew 12 – Jesus has authority to bind Satan, the strong man

Matthew 16 – Jesus dealt with a seducing spirit

Jude 8-9 – Michael did not even rebuke the devil

I John 4:4 – The Holy Spirit greater than the devil

Job – God the Father greater than death

• Burnsville Center On Tuesday, December 20, the secondary students will spend a little bit of time at the Burnsville Center in the afternoon for lunch and some light shopping. Students must be in groups of three minimum of the same gender. You can send money for food or your child can bring a sack lunch. Mr. Graves will be available to be with any students who want their young people supervised. Please just email me to let me know.
• Christmas Program for First Baptist School will be held next Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the church auditorium. Everyone is invited to attend!
• Bake Sale The Class of 2012 will be having their annual bake sale immediately following the Christmas Program on Tuesday Dec, 20^th. We will have a variety of treats prepared by each senior and their family.  
• Christmas Vacation starts on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 and continues through Tuesday, January 3, 2012. School resumes on Wednesday, January 4.
• School offices will be closed during the entire duration of the Christmas vacation (with the dates listed above).
