Ephesians 5:18

“The world has yet to see what God can do with and for and through a man who is fully and wholly consecrated to Him!”

1.  Some are one-time events–with permanent results.

2.  Other terms are repeatable, to be applied daily–their effect is temporary.

A couple points about walking in the Spirit and being filled with the Spirit:

1.  You cannot have the right spirit without walking in the Spirit.

2.  Both of these are descriptions of being yielded.

3.  Both of these are descriptions of Holy Spirit control.

4.  There are several slight differences.

A.  Walking is progressive.  Filled is complete.

B.  Walking emphasizes the will of God.  Filled emphasizes the work of God.

C.  Filled means it’s necessary to walk in the Spirit.  Walking is meant to be the repeated action of being filled with the Spirit over and over again.

How?  Three things have to be repeated every single day:

1.  Acknowledge

2.  Ask

3.  Empty

Ephesians 5 – How you will know if you are Spirit-filled:

1.  Singing in your heart (v. 19)

2.  Thanksgiving on the lips (v. 20)

3.  Submissiveness in life (v. 21)
