* This Psalm was written by David following God’s forgiveness of his sin with Bathsheba and her husband Uriah.

* This Psalm is arranged to be memorized alphabetically.

* Psalm 103 is the answered prayer–the prayer of Psalm 102.

* The theme of this Psalm is thankfulness for being forgiven.

“Bless the Lord”

Five mountain peaks of forgiveness:

1.  Total forgiveness to David (vv. 1-5)

2.  Tremendous favor to our fathers (vv. 6-10)

3.  The feebleness of mankind (vv. 11-14)

4.  The foreverness of God (vv. 15-18)

5.  The future for the forgiven (vv. 19-22)
