First Baptist School

  • Athletic Fees Due:  Athletic fees for the 2013/2014 basketball season are due Tuesday, December 3rd.  Cost is $25 for JH, $35 for JV and $50 for V.  Your child(ren) will not be able to continue practice or play in any games until the fee is paid.
  • No School:  Wednesday – Friday, Nov. 27-29 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Enjoy your time with family and friends!
  • Band Instruments:  Mrs. Nicholson may have emailed you regarding students who have instruments that need to be in working order before the Christmas Program. She would appreciate this getting taken care of shortly. If you have any questions, feel free to contact her at
  • Parents/Guardians of Lady Junior Highers:  All junior high ladies need to bring their dress in to be checked for the Christmas Concert. These dresses will be checked Monday through Thursday, December 2-5.
  • New Choir Dresses:  We are excited to announce that the new choir dresses are in and have been given out to the ladies. Attached are some important guidelines regarding the care and direction of use.
  • Thanksgiving Meal:  This will take place next Tuesday. There will be no heat ups on that day. If the meal was not purchased, then a cold sack lunch is needed. There will no concessions or milk available for this day.
  • We will not have an eNews next week due to the short school week.


First Baptist Church Youth

  • Scavenger Hunt Activity:  The 7th-9th Grade Boys’ Sunday School class will be having a Scavenger Hunt Activity this Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. Meet at the church at 3 p.m. The hunt will take place at the Mall of America. The cost is $3.
  • Youth Chapel:  In connection with our Youth Service Night, Mr. McKinney will be speaking to the young people at 5 p.m. this Sunday, November 24.
  • Youth Service Night:  The teenagers will participate in Youth Service Night. We ask that the ladies wear their Sunday best and the guys wear at least a shirt and a tie. A suit jacket is preferred. Pizza will be provided for the young people! We will also be practicing our Youth Choir song!
  • Youth Chapel (Dec. 1):  The young people will be Christmas Caroling during the Youth Chapel time on Sunday, December 1. Please have them dress warm.
