Grand Slam Activity 2013 Update

The young people enjoyed a wonderful time at the Grand Slam Entertainment Center in Burnsville, Minnesota. The activity was for the junior and senior high and took place on Monday, October 28, 2013.

We left at 3 p.m. for Grand Slam on two different buses. A big thank you to Mr. Nate Otterdahl for driving and for Mr. McKay, Mr. McKinney, Mr. Von Wald, and Mrs. Von Wald for helping to chaperone the trip. Mrs. Graves was not able to attend this activity.

The cost for the activity was $8. It included unlimited bumper cars, unlimited batting cages, and unlimited golf. The young people also received 4 arcade tokens and a hot dog and drink.

We had a wonderful time. Jim V. and the folks at Grand Slam continue to do a great job and are easy to work with for our group. They always are helpful and welcoming with the young people, and we are grateful. We appreciate our teenagers being a good testimony during this time.

Monday afternoons at Grand Slam are fairly slow for them, so it was a good time to be able to attend. We had a total of 67 teenagers (26 on the high school bus and 41 on the middle school bus, with one additional young person meeting us there). There were six chaperones for a total of 73.

Thank you, young people, for attending. This past weekend was our MACS State Tournament. It was a blessing to take a few hours after school and enjoy some fellowship with friends!

The weather for Burnsville on this day ranged from 35 degrees for a low to 45 degrees for a high. There was no precipitation.
