  • Spirit Week ended yesterday. We have had a great time in chapel with Missionary Spencer Smith. The games each day have been exciting!
  • Baseball and Softball will be starting shortly. We are looking for possible team commitments starting this coming Monday as Mr. Helder will be asking those that are interested. We encourage young people, if they are able, to come out for this sport and enjoy the experience of playing ball. The Lord has blessed us with wonderful facilities and the resources to have teams if enough interest is shown.
  • Drivers’ Education will start this Monday, March 4. We need to know immediately if you are interested in having your son or daughter involved in this. Please see the attached form.
  • The End of the 6 Weeks was yesterday.
  • School Pictures will go home this coming Monday. PLEASE RETURN THESE PICTURES TO THE SCHOOL IF YOU WILL NOT BE PURCHASING THEM.
  • The Junior High MACS Fine Arts Festival will take place on Thursday, March 7 at Woodcrest. Please pray for all of our junior high young people and several of our fifth graders (involved in band) who will be participating in many different events on this day. Money or a sack lunch is needed for each student who attends.
  • Elementary Boys’ Basketball Clinic & Girls’ Cheerleading Clinic will take place next Friday, March 8. The junior varsity and varsity boys’ are required to participate in this clinic for the elementary boys’ part.
  • There will be No Public School Busing on Friday, March 8 due to the public school’s teachers’ convention. Please make other transportation arrangements on that day. Thank you!
  • The 5th-8th Grade Ski Trip will be held on Tuesday, March 12.
  • There is a Chemistry Field Trip on Wednesday, March 20 to the Science Museum.
  • The annual Chess Tournament for the secondary (6th-12th Grade) will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013. The cost is $5 and will cover the cost of a meal that evening. The tournament will go from 3 to 8 p.m.
  • Re-Enrollment/Enrollment is taking place for the 2013-2014 school year. Applications are attached. Please be aware that new enrollments for next year are now open to the public.

First Baptist Church Youth

  • There will be a Combined Youth Sunday School Class on Sunday at 10 a.m. in the gymnasium. Treats will be available.
  • For Youth Chapel Mr. Chris Grismer will be speaking to the young people.
  • Please join us for the Annual 7th-12th Grade Boys’ Lock-In here at First Baptist Church. This exciting activity will take place on Friday, March 8th through Saturday morning, March 9th (8:00 pm to 8:00 am). The cost is $5.00. If you have any questions please direct them to Mr. Frank McKay or Mr. Nate Otterdahl. There is a sign-up sheet, and permission forms have been handed out.
  • Junior and Senior High Bowling will be Saturday, March 16. More details will be forthcoming.
