Ladies’ Shopping & Overnighter Activity Update 2013

The annual high school Ladies’ Shopping and Overnighter activity was a blast for the fifteen who attended. The activity started at about 6 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013. The ladies load from the church and head to the Mall of America. After a few hours of shopping (which we’re pretty sure ladies love to do), they headed back to the church.

Back at the church at approximately 9:30 p.m. or so, Mrs. Erica Vanderbeek had a devotion with the ladies. Mrs. Graves reported how ladiesovernightergroupphotomuch of a blessing she was to the ladies there. Her practical devotion and her transparent testimony was a real blessing. It was also a great way to introduce her to many of our teenage ladies, but also a way for our teenagers to get to know someone like Mrs. Vanderbeek. Mr. and Mrs. Vanderbeek are expecting their third child in February of 2013. Please pray for them, and pray they have a safe delivery. We praise the Lord for this great family!

After devotions, the ladies enjoyed decorating their t-shirts. This is an annual tradition during the activity. The ladies enjoyed some pizza and snacks while at the church. After eating, they used the church building to play hide-and-go-seek, and they apparently played different versions of the game as well.

The activity ended at 8 a.m. on Saturday, January 19. A big thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Casselman, Mrs. Rupe, Mrs. Vanderbeek, and Mrs. Von Wald for their help as chaperones for this activity. We look forward to doing this again for the high school ladies in January of 2014.
