Exodus 20:16

1. This commandment has to do with controlling ones tongue.

2. We should live as if we are always bearing witness in a trial for our neighbor.

3. A reputation is a most valuable possession.

4. Reputations can be vandalized publicly.

Ways people violate:
a. Slander                
b. Lying
c. Criticism
d. Talebearing
e. Insinuation
f. Flattery
g. Exaggeration
h. Silence

What can I do?
1. Hang around truthful people.
2. Think before you speak.
3. Mean what you say.
