eNews! Friday 08.31.12 @ 8:38 a.m.

Praise the Lord for a great start to the 2012-2013 school year! We have had a great week! We appreciate each of you and want to thank you for the decision you have made to have your son or daughter attend First Baptist. For several of you, we also want to extend a thank you because you are a host family to several of our foreign exchange students! Families and volunteer workers involved with the First Baptist Church Youth may also be receiving this email for the first time as youth information is presented below.

  • Construction continues on our west entrance and the increased potential dangers now associated with it. The west entrance has now become only an ENTRANCE. Until completion of the project, the west entrance to (from) Diamond Path Road will now only be a one-way entrance requiring all vehicles to EXIT the property through our south (flag pole) exit onto 145th Street. This will help the safety concerns since the start of school, and ensure the safety of the construction workers and the families and friends of FBS! We apologize for the inconvenience, and we thank you for your continued patience!
  • Lunch Calendars for September need to be handed in immediately.
  • After-School Care takes place from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are not able to pick up your child by 5 p.m., please leave a message on Miss Bacon’s cell phone at 952.715.7814. The cost ($2.50 per hour per child) will be added to your school bill at the end of the month. Please use Door 1 to pick your child up during these hours.
  • Piano Lessons are available through Mrs. Roxanne Tidrick for first grade students and above. She has a few openings left and if you are interested, you can contact her at roxanne.tidrick@fbcrosemount.org.
  • No School on next Monday, September 3, 2012.
  • School Schedules will be given to all secondary students either Friday or Tuesday. Please be sure to look at them, sign, and have them returned to the office.
  • Parents of Juniors, a Josten’s representative will be here next Wednesday to talk to all juniors about purchasing the optional class ring. They will receive a brochure about this.

  • Youth Announcements/Email are listed in conjunction with school announcements each week for eNews. I am privileged to also serve as the Youth Director here at First Baptist Church and find it helpful to streamline the information to one contact group. I realize many of you attend services at another church, and it is our desire you stay faithful and serve in your local church. Every teenager is welcome to our activities, but we desire that teenagers who attend another church make the activities and services a priority where they are a member.
