Winter Youth Banquet Moved to 02.19.11

The “Keeping Christ in Christmas” Youth Banquet that was originally scheduled for Saturday, December 11, 2010 has been postponed to February and is entitled, a “Winter Youth Banquet.” The event has been moved to Saturday, February 19, 2011. You may remember the snowstorm that day that pretty much “shut down” the entire area.

Our date was dictated by the availability (and some inside construction) of the Radisson Hotel in Bloomington, Minnesota where we originally planned for this event. You are welcome to arrive as early as 5 p.m. at the front of the church. The bus will leave at 5:30 p.m. Everyone should be back at the church at approximately 10:30 p.m. We will stick with our original plans and attend the Radisson Hotel in Bloomington as we have reserved a room. We will be going to the Mall of America only for the purpose of attending Moose Mountain Golf where each teenager will get to golf 18 holes. The cost if $15 if you have not already paid. Please let Mr. Graves know if you would like to attend. If you have already signed the original sign-up sheet, then we already have your name listed.

We look forward to a wonderful time. Mr. Shawn McKinney, who serves as a teacher at First Baptist School, and also is an assistant to Pastor Paul Taylor at Gospel Light Baptist Church will be our featured speaker for the evening. Mr. Graves intends to show a couple of video presentations you are sure to enjoy. We are planning for nearly seventy individuals. This is the can’t-miss event of the year! Bring your cameras! Bring your appetite! (The hotel will feature an all-you-can-eat buffet.) And bring a good spirit and attitude as we seek to have a God-honoring time in a semi-formal to formal type atmosphere. This activity is for high school students only (9th through 12th grade).
