Do you live in an area where there are lots of things to see and do? Living in the Twin Cities area offers many things for our family. Along with the four Fruetel boys and our family, we took a trip to Minneahaha Falls in Minneapolis, Minnesota. For our family it was the very first time there, and we have lived in this area for about sixteen years now. This reminds me of my trips out to Washington DC. I am privileged to have visited Washington DC about ten times now, and it is interesting to meet locals there each year who have never been to many of the attractions that are in Washington DC such as the memorials or the Smithsonian buildings. I am a local who just visited the falls for the first time.

We visited Minnehaha Falls on Tuesday evening, August 3, 2010. The website states that Minnehaha Falls is the centerpiece of the large city park (Minnehaha Park) in the Twin Cities. The height of the falls is 53 feet. The water source of the falls is Minnehaha Creek. With Julia, myself, our six children, and the four Fruetel boys (their parents had specific plans, so we were glad to have them visit with us), we enjoyed a great evening of fellowship.

Seeing Minnehaha Falls is a great reminder of how beautiful God’s creation truly is. This was a very beautiful place to visit.

Below is a very brief video of Minnehaha Falls:
